EXPORTING CULTURAL AND CREATIVE PRODUCTS: SOFT POWER TO WIN THE WORLD

IVC is a summer course designed by the Master’s programs at School of Business and Management ITB. This course is worth three credits involving academicians, practitioners and policy makers as our speakers to discuss contemporary issues around the topic “EXPORTING CULTURAL AND CREATIVE PRODUCTS: SOFT POWER TO WIN THE WORLD”. This program is worth three credits involving academics, practitioners, and policy makers as our speakers to discuss contemporary issues around the topics. 

Soft power is imperative for a country on a global stage. As one of the country’s tools to influence, every country needs to develop its distinctiveness, making the country associable with a specific value. Thus, a country needs to create and communicate its distinctiveness compared to other countries. To do so, the government must groom a specific industry supporting this purpose by developing an ecosystem that includes the development of related and supporting industries, industry supervision to ensure fair competition, nurturing factors conditions, and demand conditions. A big challenge to be discussed and solved through this summer course is what, why, and how to export the soft power of the cultural landscape in Indonesia to the world.

WHO CAN JOIN THIS PROGRAM?

This program is designed for international graduate students and others who possess a bachelor degree. Participants are eligible to take three credits (credit earnings) either from below followings:

MM5012 Business Strategy and Enterprise Modeling (MBA)

This course is based on the MBA study program curriculum with a problem-solving approach. Throughout summer school, the explanation of concepts and case studies will be discussed. The course also supported by international lecturers and practitioners

MB6036 Business Strategy Analysis (MSM)

This course is based on the MSM study program curriculum, which emphasizes the use of business strategy with a research approach; thus, in the summer school session, participants will learn the theories and concepts of business strategy from international-level professors who will coach the participants in academic writing as well
